Bed & Breakfast De Luthiers
Want to spend the night in a place that you will never forget?
It is possible in the ancient center of Dordrecht, near the mighty Drierivierenpunt. Water and music provide peace at De Luthiers. Mendelssohn or Thelonius Monk, classical and jazz come together. Experience a Midsummer Night’s Dream or Round Midnight in the specially furnished rooms.
The guest rooms are located on the attic floor, above the studio of luthiers Wout Bosma and Lucienne van der Lans. Their company is located in a restored building at Voorstraat 13, right in the hidden heart of historic Dordrecht. In the vicinity are busy rivers, the windmills of Kinderdijk and National Park De Biesbosch.
On the first floor is The Musicroom with grand piano, where guests can make music. It makes the B&B ideal for musicians who want to study or play together. And after the interaction, enjoy the thousand monuments that Dordrecht has to offer.
Guests without musical interest are just as welcome. Wout and Lucienne make sure that everyone feels at home.
De Luthiers
The name refers to the age-old craft of lute and violin maker. The luthier was already known around 1600. More than four hundred years later the name is passed on. De Luthiers is the name for a house of craft, music and hospitality.
Voorstraat 13
The building houses a living room for small music performances and the studio for new construction and restoration of string instruments. Two guesthouses are available for longer stays. In 1600 they called it an inn, in the 21st century Bed & Breakfast.
Musicroom
This is an ideal space to have lunch together, to have a meeting, or to experience concerts or performances. And anyone who can handle keys can play the beautiful grand piano. After all, music is what drives the host and hostess. They combine their passion and work with heart-warming hospitality.
